That’s why it’s important to know how your employees prefer to be appreciated. Some want public recognition. Some want to stay out of the spotlight. Others prefer a simple yet sincere “thank you.” The point is, employees know appreciation it when they feel it. They can also readily distinguish between what’s authentic and what’s just lip service.
